The TDI Advanced Nitrox Course allows divers to use enriched air nitrox, ranging from EAN 21 to EAN 100 percent, within their current certification level to a maximum depth of 40 meters/130 feet on dives that do not require staged decompression.
This course is often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course and can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career. Moreover, TDI Advanced Nitrox is essential for SCR or CCR divers.
This course is intended for certified nitrox divers who want to expand their understanding of nitrox mixtures containing more than 40% oxygen, certified nitrox divers who want to enhance their in-water skills, and certified divers who are interested in advancing their technical diving education.
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver Course has certain prerequisites that must be met before the course can be started. These requirements include a minimum age of 18, or 15 with parental consent, a minimum certification of TDI Nitrox Diver or an equivalent certification from a recognized training organization, and proof of 25 logged open water dives.

Prior to joining us in Gozo, Malta for your course, you are required to finish the online study component of the course.
INWater Skills
The inwater skills dives are completed in sheltered areas to allow you to build skills introduced by your Toby in small steps.
Open Water dives
Once you can repeat the skills in a relaxed way, Toby will take you diving and complete the certifiying dives of the course!
Start Tech Diving in Malta & Gozo
The TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver Course provides a more detailed exploration of diving with nitrox than the TDI Nitrox course. Throughout this course, you will learn about physics and physiology related to diving with gas mixes that contain more than 40% oxygen, gas planning, dive tables, dive computers, oxygen and nitrogen limitations, equipment considerations, cylinder labeling, analyzing nitrox mixtures, gas blending procedures, and oxygen service ratings for using gases with more than 40% oxygen.
During the course, you will also acquire essential skills such as buoyancy control, awareness of team members, stress analysis, free flow management, sharing air with a buddy, maintaining neutral buoyancy while performing a safety stop, and maintaining a proper body position while moving forward.
Upon completion of this course, you will be authorized to dive using enriched air nitrox ranging from EAN 21 to EAN 100 percent oxygen. Additionally, you will be eligible to enroll in TDI Decompression Procedures, TDI Semi-closed Rebreather, and TDI Closed Circuit Rebreather courses.
